TAROS is the longest-running UK-hosted international conference on robotics and autonomous systems, aimed at the presentation and discussion of the latest results and methods in autonomous robotics research and applications.
In 2026, the conference is organised by the University of Manchester. The event will be held at the University of Manchester, Nancy Rothwell Building, from the 7th to the 9th of September. The programme includes the TAROS sessions (Sept 7-8) and a UK-RAS Postgraduate (Free) event on Sept 9th. The conference has Technical Sponsorship from the IEEE RAS Society and the IEEE UK-Ireland Chapter.
TAROS 2026 invites full paper and poster submissions for presentation at the conference. Full papers are invited from researchers at any stage of their career but should present significant findings and advances in robotics research; more preliminary work would be better suited to a poster submission. Full papers will be accepted for oral presentation. Posters will be accepted for display at the conference. All papers and posters will be subjected to a rigorous peer review process. The conference proceedings will be published by IEEE.
